The Florence Nightingsmut Meme

You found them all banged up, bruised and bloody, and you couldn't not take them in. How could you not? They may even be on death's door! So you put on your best Good Samaritan and you patch them up to health, regardless of how willing or unwilling or grateful or ungrateful they are. They'll appreciate it...eventually. In fact, appreciation may come in the form of a bond, a bond that grows deeper, and deeper, and deeper, until there's another kind of healing going on. Perhaps there's something inside of them that needs mending, and only your bond made physical can do that. You've already opened up your time and your home to them. What's one more thing to make sure they're well? And, though you may not realize or admit to it, you need this, too.
